Welcome to Indische Imbiss Billa 2, a vibrant gem nestled in the heart of Leipzig at Maximilianallee 14. If you find yourself yearning for authentic Indian cuisine and comforting flavors that transport you back home, look no further. This restaurant embodies the essence of traditional Indian dhaba-style dining, serving dishes that feel like a warm hug on a plate.
As I stepped inside, I was greeted by the friendly staff who set a welcoming tone that enhanced my dining experience. Although the ambience is undeniably cozy, with limited seating that some may find less comfortable, it adds to the intimate charm of this hidden eatery. On my visit, the enticing aroma of spices enveloped me, promising a flavorful adventure ahead.
The menu at Indische Imbiss Billa 2 offers an impressive range of classic dishes. Among the highlights is the Mutter Paneer, a delightful combination of peas and cottage cheese simmered in a rich gravy. Every bite was a reminder of home-cooked meals. The Samosas, crispy and stuffed to perfection, paired beautifully with their Samosa Teller—two samosas complemented by Chole, Curd, and a fresh salad—all for an astonishingly reasonable price. For just €5, it’s a deal that makes indulging guilt-free.
While I was relishing the flavors, I felt the culinary passion of the chefs. Each dish, from the Palak Chicken that evoked memories of North India to the fluffy and soft Rotis made fresh to order, showcased a commitment to authenticity. Customers have echoed this sentiment, describing the meals as deeply satisfying and reminiscent of their favorite Indian home-cooked dishes.
Additionally, for those looking to take a piece of India home, there’s an Indian food shop located just a few steps away from the restaurant. Here, you can find spices and snacks that elevate your culinary adventures, making Indische Imbiss Billa 2 a true haven for Indian cuisine enthusiasts.
In conclusion, Indische Imbiss Billa 2 is not just a restaurant; it’s a heartfelt expression of Indian culture through food. Whether you're a local or a traveler, visiting this eatery offers a delightful experience steeped in warmth and flavor. Be sure to drop by and experience the best Indian food Leipzig has to offer!

Friendly staff, Good service and food. I had the mutter paneer, samosa, and tea, all of which were really good. However, the ambience is small and the seating is not very comfortable.

If you live in Germany since a very long time and badly miss Indian food then this place is perfect for you. Here they serve food that tastes just like home. So if you feel homesick and need a comforting dose of Indian homemade food but can’t visit India then this is the next best option. You’ll find real authentic Indian food, Samosas, chicken/lamb curry’s, palak, dal rice and chapatis - prepared freshly as you eat. Super friendly people, price is more than fair and the quantity is perfect. Interior design and coziness is not really the best but thanks to the outside benches and tables it feels quite like sitting in an Indian dhaba. Also: if you feel like buying some indian snacks, spices or other things that make you feel like home even thousands of kilometers away, there is a Indian food shop run by the same people just a few feet away. Highly recommend both places!

I came to this beautiful restaurant randomly when my friend and I were searching for Indian or Pakistani food in Leipzig. The person in charge was the sweetest and the palak chicken he made was one of the best i ever had. It felt like we were having food in North india instead of Leipzig. This place is highly recommended.

One of the best Indian Restaurant that you can find in Saxony. The Authentic Indian Dhaba style food you can get here. Everything is freshly made and price is also very less for Indian food. Highlight has to be Samosa Teller in which you get two Samosa with Chole, Curd and salat for 5 Euros. The rotis are also freshly made and very soft and tasty. Overall the food that you will find is very taste and it doesn't cost much too. A must visit place in Leipzig if you want to have authentic Indian food.

We tried Samosa teller couple of times that are served together with chickpeas salad and sauces. On another occasion also tried the veg bhaji of daal (lentils) and Saag (Spinat) with the Roti/chapat. Although Samosa were average and not freshly fried, but daal and saag were very delicious and authentic in taste. I would definitely recommend you to try this. You can also enjoy the food in an outdoor sitting.

More like a proper 'DHABA' with really good food...the kitchen is open for all so that you can see whatever is going on... Quality & quantity wise is also good.... I've been in Germany for 2 years and haven't seen any place like this...very reasonable rates with great customer service....
